These little treats are perfect for a mid-morning snack because the fiber from the oats help beat cravings in between meals. Also, these would be great to eat while you’re at work! They only take about 10-15 minutes to make, so you can easily make them if you’re in a time crunch. Almond butter is a great way to add protein to your diet if you are a vegan or vegetarian.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of thick rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of coconut shreds
- 1/4 cup of ground flax seed
- 2 tablespoons of hemp seeds
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 1 cup of almond butter
- 1/4 cup of maple syrup
Instructions
- Put all of the dry ingredients into a bowl (oats, coconut shreds, ground flax seed, hemp seeds and cinnamon)
- Mix the wet ingredients together in another bowl (almond butter and maple syrup)
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until all of the dry ingredients are coated
- Form into 1 inch balls using your hands
- They can be eaten right away or tossed in the refrigerator
